The head of these trees were cut apparently. They look very old, maybe there was a castle there and they were in the park ? My house is between two woods, there is an alley of old hornbeams in one and the same in the other… I imagine that it was only one alley in the past…

+Cergie Lucie Marguerite That's right. It's a forest near The Sanctuary of San Antonio in the middle of the Basque Country. The whole area is a protected natural park to preserve the fauna and flora.
I think you are lucky to live between two forests. Just to go out and take a walk is certainly very nice.
